Hoku Homeopathy Client Care Policies

Welcome to Hoku Homeopathy! We are dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and transparent care. This manual outlines the policies that help us ensure the best possible experience for all our clients.

1. Client Confidentiality & Data Privacy

Your care and trust is our highest priority. We adhere to strict confidentiality protocols, treating all personal health information (PHI), consultation details, and case records with the utmost privacy.

  • Security: All electronic and physical records are secured and protected against unauthorized access.

  • Collection & Use: We only collect information necessary for proper homeopathic care and service delivery (e.g., scheduling, billing).

  • Disclosure: Your information will never be shared with any third party without your explicit written consent, except where required by law (e.g., subpoena, mandatory reporting).

2. Virtual Consultations (Telehealth)

Virtual appointments via phone or secure video link allow for flexible and convenient care delivery.

  • Technology: Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and access to the necessary devices (computer, tablet, or smartphone) with working audio and video capabilities.

  • Environment: Please ensure you are in a quiet, private, and distraction-free setting during your consultation to maintain confidentiality and focus.

  • Security: We utilize encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platforms for all video sessions to protect your privacy during transmission.

3. In-Person Consultations

We look forward to welcoming you to our physical location for your consultation.

  • Scheduling & Punctuality: Appointments are scheduled to provide dedicated time for your care. Please arrive on time. If you are running late, please notify us immediately.

  • Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of any appointment (virtual or in-person). Appointments missed or cancelled without sufficient notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the full session rate.

  • Safety Protocols: We maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Clients are asked to notify us if they have experienced any communicable symptoms within 48 hours of their scheduled appointment so we can arrange an alternative (virtual) session.

4. Scope of Homeopathic Care

Homeopathy is a system of natural health care that utilizes highly diluted substances to stimulate the body's natural healing response.

  •  Homeopathic care is complementary to conventional medical practice. We are not medical doctors, and we do not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe prescription medications, or recommend changes to treatments prescribed by your primary care physician or specialist.

  • Existing Conditions: You are required to continue ongoing care and follow all advice provided by your medical doctor, especially for acute or serious conditions.

  • Client Responsibility: Successful homeopathic care requires honest, comprehensive sharing of symptoms and adherence to the agreed-upon treatment plan, including lifestyle and dietary recommendations. We are committed to supporting your well-being, but the ultimate responsibility for maintaining health remains with the client.

We are excited to partner with you on your journey toward optimal health.
